How we work with agencies
Agencies book many of our performances for their clients, from trade fairs to street festivals. Send us the date, place and occasion, and we will suggest the right figures and come back with a quote. We agree the route, sets and branding with you.
Our performers speak German and English. On request, the figures carry your client’s logo on the costume, as a sign around the neck, on scarves or on flags.

Indoors we need a clear height of at least 3.50 metres. In the evening some shows play fewer sets; the details are on each show’s page.

A short profile to pass on
Stelzentheater Björn de Vil from Kronshagen near Kiel builds its own figures: angels, fairies, sea heroes, meerkats, giant birds and a vintage convertible on stilts, up to three and a half metres tall. The figures walk up to guests and talk to them, in German and English. The company was founded by Björn de Vil, who has been on stage as an artiste, magician and presenter for more than 25 years, from Kiel Week to Dubai.
Technical details
Our figures need neither a stage nor power. What matters is a route without steps and a parking space nearby where we can change.
- Ceiling height
- Indoors at least 3.50 m clear height. Please tell us the ceiling height and door widths in advance, including passages and walkways.
- Route
- A level route on one floor. We do not use escalators or lifts.
- Ground
- Cobblestones are no problem. Please tell us beforehand about loose gratings, rails and stairs.
- Arrival
- A parking space close to where we perform.
- Lighting
- The illuminated figures run on LEDs and batteries.
- Travel
- Most figures travel as oversized baggage on the same flight as the performers.
- Lead time
- For November to January, as early as possible. Weekends in the Christmas season are usually booked six months ahead.
Everything else about space, timings and running order we settle with the quote.

How quickly do we get a quote?
Usually within 24 hours, in person and with a concrete casting suggestion.
Which languages do the performers speak?
German and English. For international trade fairs we agree with you beforehand how the figures address the guests.
Can the figures carry our client’s logo?
Yes, on the costume, as a sign around the neck, on scarves or on flags.
Do you perform abroad?
Yes. Most figures travel as oversized baggage on the same flight as the performers. We have played in Dubai, Doha, Shengzhou, Esbjerg and Arnhem, among other places.
How early should we enquire?
As early as possible. Weekends in the Christmas season are often booked six months ahead.
